PROPOSED PROJECTS

 

Selection of suitable land:

A suitable land of nearly two acres close to Kandy, Sri Lanka has been identified for the residential orphanage project.  Negotiations have been finalized to purchase the said land for a consideration of Rupees Two Million (Sri Lankan rupees).  An open appeal has been made to well-wishers and philanthropists to contribute generously towards this noble cause.

 

Master Plan

A Master Plan has been designed to construct the following infra-structure buildings taking into consideration the future requirements of a minimum of one hundred orphans (males only):

 

• Residential hostels/dormitories
• Library
• Prayer Hall/Mosque
• Dining Hall
• Vocational Training Unit
• Sick/Convalescing Room
• Administrative Block/ Staff Quarters
• Play ground

 

The total cost of the above mentioned infra-structure facilities is estimated around twenty three million Sri Lankan rupees.

 

Target Date of Completion

It is targeted to complete the residential orphanage project and shift the orphans to the new premises at Kurundugolla Werellagama, (Kandy) Insha Allah by May 2009.
