A Muslim orphanage for boys in Kandy was felt a great need considering the influx of large number of Muslim orphans due to the conflict situation in the Country. They are left as destitutes either in the remand prisons or in the streets due to lack of parental care, love and control.

To arrest and control this pathetic situation, our Founder President, Marhoom S.M. Zavahir (Advocate – Attorney at Law ) and a Team of educated and public spirited men from Kandy met and discussed on 16th April, 2006 the modalities of forming a Muslim orphanage in line with the Muslim law (Shariah).
